My Morning Headache

New look, new name

I didn't want to just post about SXSW, so I bought a new domain and pointed it here. The new name is "My Morning Headache". It's a vague reference to a line in Alkaline Trio's "Bleeder" in which Matt Skiba describes his hangovers as "my daily headache". MyDailyHeadache.com and DailyHeadache.com were already taken.

It's definitely not a reference to My Morning Jacket. Sorry you hipster fucks that only listen to the shit that BrooklynVegan.com stuffs done your earhole and have never even heard of Alkaline Trio. My reference is likely lost on you. (You also aren't reading this because I'm a nobody and only 2 of my closest friends even read this shit.)

I have a badge again this year. It's gonna be awesome. Gus is coming in from NYC, which is even more awesome.

I haven't heard of many of the bands that have already been confirmed for SXSW, but that's typical at this point. I'm excited for Yacht, Nada Surf, Breeders, Rogue Wave, Film School, Car Stereo (Wars), and a few others. I just saw that super-duper-all-the-bloggers-are-pimping-us group, Vampire Weekend, will be there. I think they're a leading candidate for the "No one can get in to our show because everyone wants to see us and we're playing a tiny frat bar on 6th St." award. I have a secret weapon for such an occasion though, and it attaches to a gay looking lanyard with advertisements all over it. List
